Ryan Youngblood grew up in Dallas, Texas.  He is a tried and true product of his environment; most of his childhood was spent hunting, fishing, and exploring Texan badlands.  While studying at Texas A&M, Ryan took a trip to East Africa that unearthed his love for adventure and served as a catalyst for his filmmaking and photography career.  As soon as he graduated, he packed his bags and moved to Rwanda.

Over the last four years, Ryan has traveled to over 50 countries filming for NGOs and news corporations. He’s worked on award-winning documentaries and has produced media packages for the BBC, the Associated Press, and CTV.

Ryan is dedicated to using film and photography as a medium for telling stories that would otherwise be overlooked.  He believes that there is no better way at showcasing life than through a picture, whether still or moving.
